How Are you an Intelligence Collaborator with Angie McArthur
A Yoga Health Coach asked if I’d read the Book Collaborative Intelligence, assuming I had – because I’m on a collaborative leadership kick. (I first learned the term collaborative leadership in the flagship book Mastering Leadership, which in my opinion is the best book written on leadership yet.)
I ordered the book that night and started reading it when brown Santa (UPS) arrived at my office. Within hours I was sucked into figuring out the intelligence pattern of all members of my household according to their quiz. Our attention has 3 zones: a zone of focus, a zone of sorting and a zone of expanded thinking. We each use 3 languages of thinking: auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Each language we use in which zone -that is our pattern. And authors Dawna Markova, PhD and Angie McArthur outline the 6 mind pattern types in their book, Collaborative Intelligence. You can also skip to the online quiz .
I agree with what Jacki Zehner, Chief Engagement Officer, Women Moving Millions, says about Angie + Dawna’s body of work on collaborative intelligence:, “It’s time to call an end to striving to be ‘the smartest guy in the room’ and instead invite everyone’s unique intelligence to the table. Collaborative Intelligence teaches you how to recognize the unique ways that you think and how to recognize how others think, with the goal of reducing conflict, increasing productivity, creativity, innovation, and maybe even joy! This is a breakthrough book.”
