I came up with a great idea or so I thought to set up an affordable holistic model clinic, here  in the therapy rooms at my yoga studio (YogaTejas). The model was this: a variety of practitioners would use the space one or two days a week  for a low price (ex. $100 for Mondays). Practitioners gain access to the local Yoga community in the valley who are interested in wellness, and have a centralized, local place to spread the word.

What I’m really interested in offering is a multi-modality holistic clinic with reduced rates for drop-in office hours (ex. $25 for 20 minutes) (we’re in rural Idaho, not San Francisc0 have you). Say your kid has an ear infection – for $25 you might get great advice to avoid antibiotics.  If you’re tweaked your neck gardening, receive 10 minutes of therapeutic yoga adjustments and a 10 minute home practice routine to do on your own.

Well, the idea didn’t gain momentum here. After 6 months of holding out, we currently have 2 massage therapists with signed leases in 2 of the rooms. I’m still  holding out on the third but a few people want to use room for their private practice. Maybe I’m a little ahead of my time here in Teton Valley, ID.
